Jan 4th

hola! que paaaaaaassssaaaaaaaaaaaaaa(that's for sara:)) song of the week is..................................battle hymn of the republic haha i love that song it's great. so anywho....not much to report on this week. new years was good. we have to be home at 6 on new years eve, fourth of july and halloween so we got home early and pretty much did nothing haha, ate a lot of junk food...tried to drink this weird tongan drink our roommate made us...played some chess haha and old maid...went to bed at 1030 like obedient little missionaries:) but other than that our week was pretty....typical?  oh wait...we have a baptism!! one of our investigators that the sisters have been teaching since november..so before i got here finally decided to get baptized and finally picked a date!! it's so great she's such an amazing lady. she started bringing her husband to church and her two little girls..he's not taking the lessons yet but he totally will be after she gets baptized i know it. she's basically our only progressing investigator at the time...we have about three investigators total but the other two are kinda complicated. one of them is basically an active member of the church with a calling andeverything, her family are all members but for whatever reason..she won't be baptized..so anyway. we are really excited about christine. her husband loves coming to church and has remarked about the change he has noticed in her since taking the lessons. they are the sweetest little family.i was telling sister house yesterday how when you look at them all together and happy at church you can just see them in the temple together. it's such blessing to be able to teach her. so there it is....other wise there really isn't much to report on..this week was just a lot of work with what seems like not a lot of result:S we did a lot of tracting and a lot of trying to visit and find less actives. and therefore we are forever turning the car around haha. it's more of a hassel than you would think...we drive a chevy malibuand for those of you who don't kow what that car looks like..it's a boat...you almost ALWAYS have to back up. i guess that's one good thing about the desert is that most of the roads have dirt on the sides instead of sidewalk so you can just drive right through the dirt! one amazing thing that happened yesterday...we had just tracted this huge street that took us like two hours and we didn't get any new or potential investigators we still had some time so we prayed for another street and both of us picked this one street called wickup...well let me give you some back story first...during this week while trying to find a less active member we found this one person on a street called cholla street..we coldn't for the life of us find this street in apple valley or in the village ward boundries....even in the 2009 thomas guide the only cholla road we could find was in lucerne...we called the elders in lucerne and told them about it and told our ward as well. so anywho  we both look at this street wickup and decide to tract it so we drive over to wickup and as we're driving up this podunk little dirt road wickup we see all these no tresspassing signs...sad day...so we are driving a little further up the road to turn around and leave when lo and behold what do we see in front of us...this TINY little dirt road off of wickup with a hand painted sign next to it "CHOLLA ROAD". oh my word we couldn't believe it! this road we had spent so much time looking and searching for!! God works in truly mysterious ways, it was ridiculous haha. we couldn't figure out which houses were technically on cholla road so we drove back down to the mailboxes and sure enough...there's the address we were looking for. it was just...amazing...we didn't go and visit that person yet but we know they are there!!! so yeah.. that was the miracle for this week i guess  haha maybe next week i'll be able to tell you all about how we found so and so on cholla road and now they're coming back to church...we'll see.  well that's really all i have to share this week...work is still a little slow but we're working hard trying to improve and trying to find people. i have hope and faith that God will bless us when we do what we've been asked to. we just have to be patient right? alright well. i hope all was well with the new year...there's ar eally good article in the jan ensign about the new year by elder holland...all should read and enjoy it... i hope you all have a good week! i love you!! love sister molly
